Graphic Design
This is the core of my knowledge. I developed a strong sense of design by studying fine arts, all from the classic european schools to contemporary tendencies. Also became proficient in different areas like painting, sculpture, photography, and digital arts.
UX Design
During the last 5 years of my career I have had the experience of growing as a Visual Designer in many areas such as web design in a learning development team at IBM. That also helped me become familiar with HTML and CSS coding, and content curation.
Audio and Video Production
Both at IBM and on my personal time I have produced videos for multiple purposes. These range from micro-learning solutions and week long trainings, to music videos and more. Also including motion graphics and basic animation.
Branding Consulting
One of the most important things of working for any stablished company that cares about its look and feel is having a strong branding identity and knowing how to use it right. 7 years of experience using several branding books in IBM has helped me develop a keen eye to make sure everything looks as intended and be able to suggest ideas for improvement when it doesn’t.
Agile and Design Thinking
I acquired both badges in 2019 and have worked in an Agile environment, constantly applying Design Thinking methods to arrive to the best and most innovative solutions for each course we develop, and guarantee learner satisfaction.
Languages
Learning different codes of communication has been one of my life-long devotions. Arts and music included. I’ve also had the opportunity of growing up in a multi-cultural environment and study several languages. At this point I’m fluent in English, Spanish (native language), and in Mandarin Chinese, and I’ve been learning Portuguese for a few months.
